Elbow joint is a joint made up of the arm and forearm. The olecranon is part of the ulna, one of the three bones that come together to form the elbow joint. The olecranon is positioned directly under the skin of the elbow, without much protection from muscles or other soft tissues. Olecranon fractures are fairly common and account for 10% of all upper limb fractures. A fractured elbow may be the result of trauma, such as an accident or sports injury. This type of fracture also occurs when a person tries to break a fall on an outstretched arm. There are 3 types of fractures of the ulnar process: appendicular fracture without displacement, appendicular fracture with displacement but with preserved stability and finally appendicular fracture with displacement and without elbow stability.

Upper limb brace with full elbow ROM adjustment OKG-15 is a leader in its field. Innovative, unilateral splint immobilizes the elbow and wrist joints without limiting the grasping functions. The wrist-elbow brace OKG-15 maintains the limb in neutral, functional pronation.

Adjustable wrist -elbow brace with full elbow ROM adjustment OKG-15 is equipped with unilateral splint and comfortable elbow and forearm wraps. The brace has unilateral hinge option 1RE which offers full of range of motion adjustment in every 15 degrees. What is more, anatomic splint and hinge 1RE offers hyperextention adjustment -15 and -30 degrees what is important for maintaining the physiological elbow hyperextension.

Arm and forearm wraps are made of innovative fabric AirSanmed II™ easy to clean and chemical or vapor disinfection. Its optimum thickness also provides excellent pressure relief and eliminates uncomfortable pressure on the skin during use.

Internal part of the elbow brace OKG-15 is covered with skin-friendly foam and knitted fabric attested with Oeko-Tex100 Standard. This solution perfectly wicks moisture away from the wearer’s skin and keeps it dry, preventing the growth of bacteria.

The splint with range of motion adjustment is malleable and can be adapted to the individual user’s needs. Also, it offers length adjustment of the forearm.

The open design of the orthosis makes it easy to put on and take off and to change dressings quickly.

Wrist-elbow brace OKG-15 is equipped with a few circumferential Velcro straps, which prevents against sliding and allows to keep individual compression.

On the dorsal side of the forearm, OKG-15 upper limb brace has two orthopaedic stays that provide additional stabilisation and compression.

Innovative, open design of the wrist-hand brace OKG-15 and wide range of motion adjustment offer fast and easy product’s applying and smooth adjustment of the compression.

Furthermore, being able to observe the condition of the skin of the forearm is extremely important to prevent the appearance of dangerous necrosis and skin lesions.

The OKG-15 wrist-elbow brace immobilises the elbow and wrist joint, while leaving the hand free to maintain grip function. This allows you to carry out daily activities and exercise by, for example, kneading a rehabilitation ball, which improves blood and lymph flow and prevents the swelling after injury and surgery.

AirSanmed II™

AirSanmed II™ is a multi layered intelligent orthopedic textile which is perfect for orthopedic braces production. It helps to maintain its functionality and high comfort of use. External vapour barrier is washable and possible to chemical or vapour disinfection. It is perforated and laminated with off loading foam. Due to this fact, the fabric is breathable and reduces the pressure of aluminum stays and splints. Off-loading foam is connected with soft, comfort foam improving the comfort of use. It’s laminated with soft, breathable cotton with pH neutral for human’s skin. This knitted cotton is certified with OekoTex Standard100 and fully skin-friendly.

STIFFENINGS

Plastic stays

They come in various widths and thicknesses, are made of various types of plastics, such as polyamide, ABS or acrylic, and these features determine their stiffness. Thanks to their design, they are resistant to water, moisture and sweat. Products equipped with them can be washed without having to remove them from the orthosis. Our plastic stays work only in one direction, perfectly stabilize the laterally protected part of the body, adjusting to it at the same time and have a memory function, thanks to which they always return to their original shape. This function causes the stays in the orthosis to stabilize the swollen limb immediately after the injury and after the swelling has come off. The plastic stays cannot bend and that is why, they cannot correct the body posture or the secured joint.

Splint 1RE

Splints 1RE – single axis orthopedic splints, used mainly in knee joint, upper limb and hip joint braces. The characteristic quality of this splint is, apart from wide range of motion adjustment in every 15 degrees, is also hyperextension adjustment in the secured range of -15 and -30 degrees. The splints are characterized by perfect lateral joint stabilization and low weight. The set-up of the angle adjustment clock doesn’t require any tools, and special safety system prevents the change of the angle by unauthorized people. The splints are made of high quality aluminium alloy and plastic with carbon fibre. They are light and neutral to the influence of sweat and salt, properly firm, assuring correct functioning of the device. The splint and its design are patented in European Union by Reh4Mat company.

3D supports

3D relief supports are independent technical solutions to relieve the rigid elements of a given orthosis. These elements are made of supporting foams or EVA foam. These foams are connected with various types of skin-friendly materials and materials with an adhesive function. These pads have the appropriate shape and color adapted to the type of orthosis. They relieve both metal elements of orthoses, such as splints, stays, underwires and orthopedic drop locks, as well as other elements that should not come into direct contact with the patient's skin. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of comfortable foam with proper hardness and elasticity, guaranteeing the proper therapeutic effect.
