JAVELIN – FUNCTIONAL KNEE BRACE WITH FLOW MOTION TECHNOLOGY

JAVELIN functional knee brace provides support to the knee joint after an injury and prevent injury from occurring. Typically, a knee injury occurs as a result of excessive physical exertion (e.g. intense running, bad form when lifting weights, overexertion, etc.) or contact sports such as football.

The brace protects ligaments, tendons, joint capsule and meniscus from damage in the event of a sprain or dislocation of the joint. The product is suitable for advanced knee instability and ligament tear or rupture.

The JAVELIN knee brace is made of light-weight, anatomically shaped aluminium, providing maximum support and stabilisation with minimal product weight.

The thermoformed padding, the length of which can be custom adjusted, reduces pressure on the bony prominences and ensures comfort. It is covered with skin-friendly silicone to prevent the product from slipping off during use.

The brace has an anterior-posterior design, making it ideal for protecting the shin from anterior translation, which occurs in cases of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage. The frame design allows the brace to be used even in cases of advanced ligament damage.

Once adjusted, the wrap around Velcro straps remains in place even during long-term use of the knee brace, and the quick pin fastening system ensures simple and intuitive application of the product.

The JAVELIN functional knee brace features advanced aluminium splints with innovative
FLOW MOTION Technology hinge, reflecting the anatomical movement of the knee joint. The brace with the drop lock applied not only supports the knee during flexion and extension, but also allows constant contact between the joint surfaces of the thigh and shin, which enables the natural rotational movements of the joint to be maintained and supports the knee in any physiological range. This solution ‘tracks’ the appropriate range of movement in the joint and provides proprioception, which is extremely necessary in the case of knee ligament damage.

By limiting unwanted lateral movement of the joint and providing additional support, the JAVELIN functional knee brace helps to effectively protect injured knees, which is why its use is recommended by physiotherapists and sports medicine specialists to ensure proper healing and prevent re-injury to the knee joint. The brace effectively prevents re-injury and damage to the joint and promotes a faster healing process.

Main Features

The integrated 4-axis hinge mechanism replicates the physiological motion of the knee, with clock inserts that move relative to one another based on the four-band linkage principle. This design ensures consistent contact between joint surfaces across the knee’s entire physiological range of motion, significantly reducing the risk of joint injuries and damage.

Equipped with a pressure-relieving cushioning system featuring anti-migration properties, along with an optional set of soft attachment pads, the orthosis allows for precise, individualized fitting.

Circumferential straps with a memory system and quick-release buckles enable rapid application and removal of the pre-fitted orthosis.

The orthosis is fully water-resistant, making it suitable for use in bathing and extreme water sports environments.

Active3D™

Active3D™ is thermoformed fabric made of special foamed, cell-closed designed material. It reduces the pressure on the body or any abrasions made by orthopaedic stays and aluminum splints. It is fully waterproof fabric and does not absorb sweat. It’s easy to clean. Due to its features, the fabric is an excellent product for making medical orthopaedic braces and orthoses. ACTIVE 3D™ has various external self-gripping layers. Our material has special, thermoformed properties and may be shaped according to the functional goals of the final braces.

PADDINGS

3D supports

3D relief supports are independent technical solutions to relieve the rigid elements of a given orthosis. These elements are made of supporting foams or EVA foam. These foams are connected with various types of skin-friendly materials and materials with an adhesive function. These pads have the appropriate shape and color adapted to the type of orthosis. They relieve both metal elements of orthoses, such as splints, stays, underwires and orthopedic drop locks, as well as other elements that should not come into direct contact with the patient's skin. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of comfortable foam with proper hardness and elasticity, guaranteeing the proper therapeutic effect.
