OSS-OS-03 FOOT ORTHOSIS
OOSS-OS-03 – TOE WALKING BRACE FOR ADULTS
Description
TOE WALKING IN ADULTS
Toe-walking is most commonly associated with a childhood condition, but it is also common in adults. If an adult did not walk on tiptoe as a child, but this type of gait has developed in adulthood, it may have a neurological or orthopaedic basis or be caused by peripheral neuropathy. Prolonged toe-walking leads to over-stretching of the calf muscles and Achilles tendon, which ultimately makes it difficult to walk on a flat foot and leads to long-term deformities in the foot. For adults struggling with toe walking, the OSS-OS-03 toe-waking brace was developed to correct the gait pattern.
Product’s description:
Treatment of toe-walking usually includes physiotherapy to improve the flexibility of the Achilles tendon and improve its pattern, and orthopaedic supplies such as adult toe-walking brace OSS-OS-03.
OSS-OS-03 toe walking brace keeps the foot in a neutral position, ensuring a correct step from heel to toe.
The toe walking brace OSS-OS-03 has a rigid short splint on the sole side of the foot to prevent the excessive plantar flexion necessary in maintaining the position in standing on the toes.
Implementation of correct gait helps to maintain proper alignment and rolling of the foot, which is essential for keeping tissues elastic and preventing future deformities.
Tip-toe correction splint OSS-OS-03 is made of lightweight waterproof fabric UniPren™.
The wide range of circumferential adjustment allows the brace to be individually adapted to the size of the foot.
The OSS-OS-03 adult toe walking brace is an perfect solution to help manage toe walking. Permanently keeping the foot in a physiological position significantly reduces the habit of walking on tiptoe. Preventing toe-walking reduces the risk of muscle contractures, the Achilles tendon and the development of deformities in the ankle joint and foot.

MATERIALS
UniPren™
UniPren™ is a universal 3-layer material consisting of an external elastic polyamide cover knit with a self-adhesive function, an internal neoprene foam core and an elastic jersey cover knit. This material is characterized by softness and very high flexibility. A very important advantage of this material is the fact that it is not a knitted product, it does not have thick fibers, so that the weaves of the material do not imprint on the patient's skin and do not cause abrasionsin places of high compression. Products made of UniPren™ are the strongest and most effective stabilizing orthoses available on the market. Self-adhesive function, the raw material makes it much easier to use.
