Umbilical hernia occurs when intestine, fat or fluid pushes through a weak spot in the belly. The abdominal wall is torn and peritoneum with intestine goes outside the cavity. As a result, the advanced hernia with the soft node shape may be visible. The symptoms of umbilical hernia are as follow: a swelling or bulge near the navel area. Many times they can lead to stomachache as well. The umbilical hernia tends to get bigger over time.

The hernia occurs when the abdominal wall is weak, mainly among children or seniors. It is connected with physical activity such as weightlifting or obesity and pregnancy. It may occur in postoperative scar lesions as well. The great solution in this case is using the umbilical hernia belt before the surgery.

Umbilical hernia belt AM-PBB-01 is an innoviative medical device that aims to prevent the enlargement of a hernia in the umbilical region prophylactically.

The belt is made of high technological orthopaedic rubber in black color. The material is elastic but offers perfect therapeutical compression.

The technical properties of the material used to make the AM-PBB-01 abdominal belt allow the product to be used effectively without restricting the breathing function of the diaphragm or causing discomfort.

The user, despite the use of the belt, can easily do all daily activities without breathing problems. The innovative elastic orthopaedic rubber provides a required level of compression and prevents the umbilical hernia from becoming protruding.

Our wraparound design hernia belt AM-PPB-01 is equipped with a special anatomic shaped silicone pad. The pad is oval physiological shaped for ensures effective retention of the abdominal wall “inside” the abdominal wall and prevents it from bulging outward. In addition, a silicone oval pad is attached to the completely inflexible part of the belt, which itself provides adequate protection against the umbilical hernia.

How to choose proper silicone pad?

The anatomically shaped silicone pad is made of soft silicone that makes it adapt perfectly to the user’s body and tightly closes the hernia opening, adapting to its shape. Thanks to the use of such a soft material for the pad, even long-term use of the belt does not cause the hernia opening to enlarge

The simple and quick removal of the pad allows the belt to be used without the silicone pad as a general protection of the abdominal wall, e.g. after surgical operations.

What is more, the belt is equipped with lateral stabilizing stays preventing against slipping the belt down or rolling it.
Comfortable, wide Velcro closure offers smooth circumferential adjustment to meet the user’s needs.

In addition, the Velcro closure of the abdominal belt AM-PPB-01 offers smart loop for making belt’s application very easy even for people with movement limitations of the hands.

Plastic stays

They come in various widths and thicknesses, are made of various types of plastics, such as polyamide, ABS or acrylic, and these features determine their stiffness. Thanks to their design, they are resistant to water, moisture and sweat. Products equipped with them can be washed without having to remove them from the orthosis. Our plastic stays work only in one direction, perfectly stabilize the laterally protected part of the body, adjusting to it at the same time and have a memory function, thanks to which they always return to their original shape. This function causes the stays in the orthosis to stabilize the swollen limb immediately after the injury and after the swelling has come off. The plastic stays cannot bend and that is why, they cannot correct the body posture or the secured joint.

Hernia pads in the shape of hemispheres of various diameters, made of natural-colored silicone. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of silicone with the appropriate hardness and elasticity, guaranteeing non-invasive and full filling of the abdominal hernia opening.
