SHOULDER INJURIES

Shoulder injuries involve 10% of all sport injuries. Repetitive, throwing motions (keeping the arm above the head) and direct hit by other athlete are the main reasons of shoulder injuries. The rotator cuff provides shoulder stability. It includes muscles such as the supraspinatus muscle, the infraspinatus muscle, the teres minor muscle and the subscapularis muscle. It keeps the humeral head in the socket and supports the upper extremity in daily activities such as writing or cleaning the windows. When the humeral head is going up or down, the joint doesn’t work smooth and it limits the range of motion. Also, direct blow of the shoulder by the other athlete may result in shoulder dislocation.

Product’s description

Shoulder brace OKG-21 is an innovative product for professional athletes and amateurs. The brace maintains the humeral head in the glenoid, increases the smooth motion and improves joint nutrition.

Special „T” shape element keeps the humeral head in the correct position and prevents against the sliding the humerus up or down:

CENTRALIZATION

Required attachment the “T” element to the brace prevents against sliding out of the humeral ball out of the socket. Correct position of the humerus improves the joint nutrition and increases the smooth movement.

ELEVATION

When your ball is sliding down, attach the “T” part in proximal direction for elevation of the humeral head and maintaining it in the socket.

DEPRESSION

When the ball is sliding up, attach the “T” part in distal direction, e.g. in case of rotator cuff injury, when the deltoid pulling the humeral head up and you need to keep it lower. Application the “T” part in the distal direction, slides the ball down and keeps it in the socket.

Shoulder brace OKG-21 wrap around product is made of high quality waterproof UniPren™.

Slightly elastic products provides therapeutic compression. When the bruises occur, the brace provides healing compression and reduces swelling.

It is universal size and X-Size for big dimensions. Thoracic belt has length adjustment and you will fit it precisely.

Also, the brace is equipped with additional element which makes the brace wider for larger circumferences.

MATERIALS

UniPren™

UniPren™ is a universal 3-layer material consisting of an external elastic polyamide cover knit with a self-adhesive function, an internal neoprene foam core and an elastic jersey cover knit. This material is characterized by softness and very high flexibility. A very important advantage of this material is the fact that it is not a knitted product, it does not have thick fibers, so that the weaves of the material do not imprint on the patient's skin and do not cause abrasionsin places of high compression. Products made of UniPren™ are the strongest and most effective stabilizing orthoses available on the market. Self-adhesive function, the raw material makes it much easier to use.
