Description
Osteoporosis is a disease that affects the human skeletal system, causing a reduction in the density of the bones and a disruption in the cohesion of their tissues, resulting in a much higher susceptibility to fractures, which can occur even with low loads. This type of fracture is called a compression fracture. These fractures can cause sudden, severe back pain that gets worse when you are standing or walking, trouble twisting or bending the body, loss of height and a curved spine called kyphosis, also known as a “dowager’s hump.”
In the course of osteoporosis, the use of a professional corrective back orthosis type AM-PES-08 is recommended.
Product’s description:
Orteza pleców AM-PES-08 back brace relieves pain in case of a spinal fracture. It also enables normal movement during treatment of spinal disorders.
The brace consists of a frame located on the back, an abdominal pad and a strap system with Velcro fastenings.
The anatomically shaped frame is made of ultralight aluminium, which is almost imperceptible to the user. The frame has special spaces that reduce the risk of compression of the vertebral while wearing the orthosis.
Both the lining of the aluminium frame and the abdominal pad are made of breathable Active3D™. material.
The AM-PES-08 corrective back brace adapts individually to the patient’s back shape and body sizes and, if necessary, its shape can be gently moulded according to therapeutic recommendations. The brace is light and barely visible under clothing.
Thanks to its advanced design, the AM-PES-08 back orthosis by activating the back muscles the support straightens the dorsal spine to decrease the osteoporotic kyphosis. This prevents the progression of osteoporosis, reduces the risk of compression fractures of the spine, reduces pain and significantly improves the user’s quality of daily life.
The use of a circumferentially adjustable abdominal pad enables the user to maintain adequate abdominal pressure, which naturally protects the vertebrae from discopathy and compression fracture during increased physical activity.

MATERIALS
Active3D™
Active3D™ is thermoformed fabric made of special foamed, cell-closed designed material. It reduces the pressure on the body or any abrasions made by orthopaedic stays and aluminum splints. It is fully waterproof fabric and does not absorb sweat. It’s easy to clean. Due to its features, the fabric is an excellent product for making medical orthopaedic braces and orthoses. ACTIVE 3D™ has various external self-gripping layers. Our material has special, thermoformed properties and may be shaped according to the functional goals of the final braces.
MaxComfort™
MaxComfort™ is a new generation of multilayer material with excellent relief and functionality. The use of a product made of this material is a perfect stabilization of the limb and very high comfort of use.
From the side of the body, there is a soft, skin-friendly knitted fabric with OekoTex Standard100 certificate. The next layer is a soft polyurethane foam, which ensures the comfort of using the orthosis, fill the space between the orthosis and the limb, increases the contact surface of the orthosis to the patient's skin, which reduces local pressure on the body and has anti-bedsore properties. The next layer of the material is technical polyethylene foam, whose task is to relieve the structural elements of the orthosis from the patient's body. The last layer of this material is a technical fabric with a self-adhesive function that allows you to attach various types of circumferential bands and other details necessary for the proper functioning of the orthosis.
STIFFENINGS
Aluminum spine frame
The spine frame is made of a special aluminum alloy and anatomically shaped to the shape of the spine. The product has an anatomical shape, holes on the spine and rotary buckles that allow for fastening with the frame of the fastening belts. The frame is covered with a durable powder coating, resistant to sweat and water, and friendly to the patient's skin.
PADDINGS
3D supports
3D relief supports are independent technical solutions to relieve the rigid elements of a given orthosis. These elements are made of supporting foams or EVA foam. These foams are connected with various types of skin-friendly materials and materials with an adhesive function. These pads have the appropriate shape and color adapted to the type of orthosis. They relieve both metal elements of orthoses, such as splints, stays, underwires and orthopedic drop locks, as well as other elements that should not come into direct contact with the patient's skin. These pads have an anatomical shape and are made of comfortable foam with proper hardness and elasticity, guaranteeing the proper therapeutic effect.
